Adult and Community Learning ‘in the loop’
Issue 21 February 2014
Hello everyone and welcome to ‘in the loop’
Making sure that adult learning in Bristol continues to improve and grow.
Things we’ve done this week:
We’ve been finding out more about the proposed development of a new play area on the Stoke Lodge playing fields site . This scheme offer a fantastic resource for the local community and will hopefully encourage more people to make use of the wider Stoke Lodge facilities. We are keen to ensure that the proposed access and car park development meet the needs of adult learners who are attending classes at Stoke Lodge, as well as the new play area users.
What are we doing?
- We are talking to elected members and council officers about our concerns about the proposed car park development and proposing some potential solutions
- We will be attending the next Neighbourhood Partnership meeting on 10 March where the car park plans are scheduled to be tabled for approval.
- We are sharing the plans on our website and will be putting copies up in Stoke Lodge. We want to make sure you are aware of the plans and are able to give your views and feedback.

Stoke Lodge Foyer and Entrance Hall
Also at Stoke Lodge we are looking at reorganising the foyer and entrance hall . Whilst we’re not yet in a position to plan an expensive refit , we feel that the entrance is the first thing we all see when we arrive and is also very well used for tea breaks!
Your Suggestions
We would love your thoughts, ideas and suggestions on how we can improve the entrance and hall space. Follow the link https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Stokelodge to share your ideas!
