Adult and Community Learning ‘in the loop’

Hello everyone and welcome to ‘in the loop’. In this edition of ‘in the loop’… course guide and online bookings for 2014 is now available. We also offer in person and telephone booking starting from Monday. Also, Free Beginners’ Computer Classes opening at Stoke Lodge.
Course Listing and Online Booking
I am very happy to tell you that you can now search, book and pay for 2014/15 courses online at www.bristolcourses.com – on our ‘Find a course’ page.
You can use it to see all the courses listed by curriculum, by learning venue, by the day and time the courses runs or by searching a subject or key word.
Because this is a new system even if you have enrolled with us before you will have to sign up for a new account but it only takes a minute and is really easy to do.
The new course guide will be going out from next week and I know lots of you are keen to pick up a few course guides to share around.
We are very happy that you are keen to help but if you can let reception know we are keeping a log of who’s taking guides where so we don’t duplicate our efforts.
In Person and Telephone Bookings
Apart from our online booking system, you can now book in person or over the telephone and sign up to any of our courses. In person and telephone booking opens on Monday starting from 10:30am.
Free Computer Class
I am also delighted to say that a partnership between Adult Learning and Citizens Online means that the Citizens Online team are able to offer a FREE BEGINNER’S COMPUTER CLASS at Stoke Lodge.
This free 5 week beginners computer class is aimed at people with no or little knowledge of computers. Learn how to use a mouse, keyboard and get ‘online’ to communicate with friends and family, save money on bills, shop, search for your favourite hobbies and find out what’s going on In your local area!
Come and join our friendly, informative and fun class starting Wednesday 16th July 10am – 12pm for five, 2 hour sessions.
There are only 8 spaces available on this free course so give us a call to book a place – 07785 462 568
The short course is a perfect start for complete beginners and there will be plenty of options to keep learning and developing skills after with the Adult Learning courses in September.
It’s great for Adult Learning because it offer learners a free trial to start and we have lots on offer for those who want to keep going.
Please note, for this one you need to book with Citizens Online on the number above not Stoke Lodge.
