Subject: Music
I have been listening to music for as long as I can remember, playing my parents’ records and receiving piano lessons from my Grandma.
Later I had more formal lessons in clarinet and piano, but still remember how much I learnt from that journey of discovery, listening to and reading about music, and writing my own pieces.
I studied Music at New College, Oxford, and became involved with running the college music society, organising student concerts and festivals.
After my degree, I spent a long time travelling. It was a rich learning experience which brought me into contact with a wide range of musicians and a variety of genres.
In the last few years I have been teaching music to both children and adults.
I’m happy to be able to share the gifts that music has brought me, and wish the pleasure of listening to and playing music to be available to as many people as possible.
