Mind and Body Awareness through Movement
Through movement you can access more awareness and understanding of how the body works, developing movement repertoire through gentle exercises, which strengthen muscles, lubricate joints and work towards a more economical posture and healthier alignment. Movement has also the potential to release pent up emotions. Classes include movement exercises, dance/movement, visualisations, breathing exercises, and stretching.
Drawn Together
Learners will have the chance to explore drawing and build their confidence. Drawing gives you the chance to develop techniques and skills and to build your concentration as part of a friendly and supportive group.
Introduction to Pottery
This free course is open to all and learners will have the chance to find out more about pottery and sculpture techniques. Try out new techniques and learn new skills.
Creative Writing
This free course is open to all and learners will have the chance to explore their ‘personal voice’ through some interesting and fun exercises. Try out new techniques and learn new skills as part of a friendly and supportive group.
Printmaking
Learners will have the chance to find out more about printing and try out printmaking techniques. Come along and learn new skills.
Android Tablet for beginners – bring your own
This course will look at how to get started with the tablet, how to download use apps, books, games, browse the web, check and write emails.
