In the Loop – Mar 2020

Well, it has been a very strange and rather strained week here at Stoke Lodge but I just wanted to take a few moments to say THANK YOU.

Thank you to the staff here at Stoke Lodge – supporting each other at this difficult time, responding to queries and answering questions – even when none of us knew all the answers!

Thank you to our amazing tutors – who have been, and continue to be, so patient at this time of uncertainty.    They have been working really hard exploring alternative learning activities and working on ways to continue to engage and support their learners.

And of course THANK YOU to all our learners – thank you for bearing with us, thank you for all the messages of support, thank you for the lovely comments about how much you will miss your courses and your tutors – it really does mean a lot.

At the moment, although closed to the public, we have a few staff still in at Stoke Lodge and we will continue to work through and explore arrangements for the coming months.  We are still asking you all to bear with us but we will continue to update you as we have new.

Times are still very changeable and we still don’t have all the answers.

BUT – we are an optimistic lot and not afraid of a challenge!  Bristol Adult Learning is really important to all the staff and tutors here and we continue to plan for the future.

To all our learners – we miss seeing you all at the moment but there will be solutions and there will be ways we can engage with each other and keep learning.
