It’s a glorious afternoon here at Stoke Lodge, the sun is shining, the birds are twittering and the squirrels are bombing up and down the branches.
2021/22 Courses
We are currently putting the final touches to the 21/22 autumn term course listings.
We are aiming to open enrolments from Monday 2 August.
We will confirm that date nearer the time so keep an eye out for the next in the loop.
Most of our summer school courses are now full but there are still a few places available on
Italian Day: Festività italiane, on Sat 24 July 10am-1pm with Enza Grauso – Online via Zoom £24/ £16, LISF
Space for Creativity – Exhibition at the Create Centre.
Space for Creativity is a mentoring course run usually at Stoke Lodge but this last year running online with tutor Laurel Smart.
They have what promises to be an exciting and varied exhibition planned which I would encourage everyone to visit if they can.
The exhibition takes place from 20th to the 23rd July and from the 26th to the 29th July (closed Sat/Sun) and is open between 10am and 5pm.
On Thursday 29th July there is also a special ‘meet the artists’ event happening between 5pm and 8pm.
Space for Creativity
Jane Boot, chair of the Friends of the RWA, and Laurel Smart, also a committee member, are exhibiting with a group of women artists who met regularly on zoom throughout the pandemic.
This is a vibrant exhibition celebrating the paintings produced in this period.
Isolated yet together, they met weekly forming a strong connection, sharing ideas and encouraging each other. The result is a wide range of styles and genres.
